How do I clear my browser's cache and cookies?

Always when updating/upgrading and sometimes to fix issues you need to clear you browser's cache and cookies. This article provides directions on how to accomplish the task.

Chrome

  1. Click the Chrome menu (the three horizontal lines in the top-right corner).
  2. In the pull-down menu select More tools > Clear browsing data, which will open a pop-up tab.
  3. For Obliterate the following items from, select the beginning of time.
  4. Make sure that Empty the cache and Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data are checked, and then click Clear Browsing Data at the bottom of the dialog box.
  5. Restart your browser.

Firefox

  1. Click the menu (the three horizontal lines in the top-right corner).
  2. In the pull-down menu select Options > Privacy and choose Clear Recent History and Cookies.
  3. For Time range to clear, select Everything.
  4. Make sure that Cache is checked under Details, then click Clear Now.
  5. Restart your browser.

Internet Explorer

  1. Click the gear in the upper, right-hand corner of the browser, hover over Safety and select Delete browsing history.
  2. Uncheck Preserve Favorites website data at the top of the menu.
  3. Make sure that Temporary Internet files and Cookies are checked, then click the Delete button.
  4. Press OK to close the Internet Options menu. Then close and reopen your browser.
