I cannot access the Controller from the browser. The URL times out from remote systems. What should I do?

It might be a Windows Firewall issue. You need to open the port number that the Controller/Base listens to in your windows firewall. The default port is 8888. To do so:

  1. Go to Control Panel > Windows Firewall.
  2. Click the Exceptions tab.
  3. Click Add Port.
  4. Enter the name and port number.
  5. Click OK.
